Precision Milling Services for Perfect Particle SizingWhen placing your order, you will be able to specify both top size and bottom size, should you so choose. Your options for particle sizing range from cast by down to single-digit micron powders. With jaw crush, cone crush, ball and attrition precision milling available, the only limiting factors are your size requirements.
In specifying top and bottom sizes you can use inches, fractions of inches, mesh or microns, depending on your particle sizing requirements. An order for a 2" x ½" product means the final product will pass through a screen with 2-inch holes, but not through a screen with ½-inch holes. To ensure you receive exactly the final product you require, all finished precision milling products are tested for sizing on site and include a laboratory chemical analysis prior to approval for shipping.

| Bottom Size |
This is the size of the smallest particle in your order, usually measured in inches, fractions of inches, mesh or microns. |
| Cast by Down |
This is the size of the as cast silicon as it arrives in bulk. |
| Mesh Size |
This is a number corresponding to the number of openings in one square inch of screen. Higher mesh numbers equate to smaller holes. |
| Micron |
Also known as a micrometer, one micron is the same as one millionth of a meter or 0.000039 inches. |
| Top Size |
This is the size of the largest particle in your order, usually measured in inches, fractions of inches, mesh or microns. |

Sizing
